Welcome Pastor Mark Smith
Whitneyville Fellowship Church is pleased to welcome Pastor Mark Smith as our new pastor beginning June 7. Pastor Mark brings more than twenty-five years of pastoral ministry experience and a deep commitment to shepherding God's people. Most recently, he served as Senior Pastor of Riverside Alliance Church in Akron, Ohio.
As he begins this new chapter with our church family, Pastor Mark shares that his calling is to offer consistent pastoral care, Scripture-shaped encouragement, and supportive leadership, helping a congregation stay grounded and healthy, while remaining mission-minded, neighbor-focused, and engaged with the community. For almost three decades, he's served in pastoral ministry as a shepherd and mentor—teaching Scripture, walking with people through both ordinary life and hard seasons, and investing in leaders with steady presence and careful listening. His ministry is rooted in a genuine love for people. He finds great joy in helping individuals and families grow in their faith, building meaningful relationships, and fostering a church community where everyone feels known, valued, and encouraged in their walk with Christ.
Pastor Mark and his wife reside in Kentwood and are blessed with five grown children and four grandchildren. In his free time, he enjoys bicycling throughout West Michigan and tending to his garden.
